Elevator Pitch No. 2

Week 7
My last pitch was a lot more stiff and this one I tried to be more active. I know that I am not fully there yet, but soon I will have my sales pitch perfect. Once I become more familiar with my pitch I will be more flexible and be able to have a more fluid delivery. My public speaking is not the best and I hope to make my elevator pitch even stronger.

  1. William I like the idea to integrate coolers with technology. I think you did a good job, and I understand your stiffness. I would recommend just having fun with it. Move your hands. Maybe use a small cooler as a prop. It was a good choice to wear business attire and look professional. Please check out my blog http://soulstosteal.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html

  2. Hi Will!

I think your pitch was pretty strong and you could tell you practiced your delivery. Your actual words and speech were well spoken, and you dressed the part. My advice for next time would maybe be to add a few hand gestures in just to make it a little more natural and conversational as if you were talking to a friend.

The Coolest Cooler, which raised over $7million on Kickstarter, seems to be a similar product, so I would just recommend further differentiating yourself from them. Incorporating music/speakers with drinks and a cooler is a fun idea, but just be sure to have some sort of completive advantage of similar competitors. Overall great job!

  4. Hey William, I enjoyed watching your elevator pitch video. I can understand your stiffness as I have the same issue but through practice you’ll look relaxed and more like a natural. However I recommend you to move your hands a little more and speak up with confidence. Your idea sounds good as well, you should really expand on it if you’re serious. Here’s my post:

  5. Hi Will,

First off, I like your idea. Some tips on your pitch, loosen up a little bit and try to also be a bit more animated (but no too animated of course), especially with your hands. I agree, being able to comfortably convey your pitch comes with practice. But overall, nice work!
