"Week 2"
My experience with entrepreneurship is that my father and
role model started a business from the ground up. After graduating University
of North Florida with a degree in history, he soon because a pilot for Delta
Airlines. Years later, after being away from home most days of his career, he
decided to quit and start a risky venture. He decided that he was going to
start his own reconstruction business. Two years into getting his business up
and running, the 2007 economic crash pushed him and his abilities to their limits.
Luckily, he was able to persevere and overcome this troublesome time. Now his
business is doing great and he is able to work from home, which is what he
strived for from the beginning.
I enrolled in this course because I hope to learn what being
an entrepreneur is all about. Being an entrepreneur is a way of life and being
able to see the world as they do intrigues me. While I would like to open up my
own brewery someday, I think that this class will guide me to great values and how
to better use my resources.

William, this was a very inspirational story. The economic crash of 2007 had a negative impact on so many Americans. I think a lesson that we can learn from your father is that perseverance is the key to being an entrepreneur.

DeleteGreat story William!
ReplyDeleteThis is a testimony to show that being an entrepreneur has its definite ups and downs. Must of been incredible to know that your father went through all that, and is finally able to settle down and work from home like you stated. Like Tyler had mentioned, very inspirational.
My apologies! I forgot to add the link to my own blog post, here you can find my story about entrepreneurship. http://www.finityphotos.com/blog/2016/1/13/my-entrepreneurship-story
